A Simple Gesture...

A parent was looking for me last week, but called the wrong no. She called my colleague instead and left a message for me to call her back. The mother left her contact no and her son's name. Nothing else. Cant even check the case before i call.

I returned her call and found out that she was the parent whom i helped when i just started work last year. She called to thank me for the help that I had rendered. She mentioned that her son is now coping well and is adjusting to the life in Singapore. Her son has been staying overseas since young. He came back to Singapore because he has to fulfill his liability....

Its this simple gesture that brighten up my day.
I felt very touched by her simple "thank you".......

*************

It happened again on Mon. A parent called me from Australia and told me that her son is coping well. Even though I did not / cannot accede to her request due to some restrictions, she was very polite. She has never once flare up and says that she just have to accept the fact that we cant accede to her request.

We chatted for over an hour on the phone. We talked about her life in Australia and how her son is trying to woo this girl who was his classmate. It was really a pleasant chat and I really felt happy for her.

Sometimes, no matter how bad work can be, its these small little things that you didnt expect to happen to brighten up your day :)

So carry on with this simple gesture, if you really do appreciate someone who has helped you in a way or another, do express your gratitude and make their day!

S.t.r.e.s.s??

Went facial this afternoon.
The beautician was doing this skin analysis test for me. She was telling me that it can analyze the condition of my skin, collagen level, stress level and firmness etc.

In mere seconds, the machine churned out some figures.
As we were going through the results, she asked if i was very stress...
She commented that my stress level is very HIGH and its rated as serious. According to her, the normal stress level reading should be about 10. However, mine was 60!
Indeed, i almost fainted when i heard that. haha~

time for a short getaway!
any takers? :)
