Tioman- Unforgettable, ever~

Hi all, I am back from TIOMAN!
Tioman is damn fun, even though it rained cats and dogs on the 1st and 3rd day.

Its my 2nd time to Tioman, but I dont find it boring at all.
My company was good, Ah Ba makes the trip so enjoyable and fun. We discovered new places on our own that is so pretty and the time we spent together was priceless.

I love travelling with him.
Even though we see each other in Spore like everyday, but the feeling is just different when we are overseas.

This trip is really unforgettable, not only because of Ah Ba, but also something else which I will elaborate later.

We were supposed to meet at Orchard DFS Galleria at 6.30am to board our bus to Tanjong Gemok. Our ferry is set to set off at 12pm.

The above is Tangjong Gemok Ferry Terminal. Very quiet place as compared to Mersing, the place where I took my ferry the previous time I went.

Tanjong Gemok is like a very small fishing village which has a small town where people can buy their necessities from.

Simple and slow paced life. Limited Internet Access. Its just work, eat, teevee, sleep. *daaaang*

Can see from the picture that there is no sun, not sunny at all. Very cloudy and dark sky.

We stayed at Paya Beach Resort. Its quite a nice place. Sufficient amenities and staff were all friendly.

The place that we stayed. We were lucky to get a unit on the 2nd level. More privacy.

Qing ning commented that this looks like the kind of houses that Primary School kid will draw during their Art Class.

The view that we see from our balcony. Got mountain, got water.
The top picture is what we see on our left, the bottom one is what we see on our right.

We settled down, then head for lunch. First day lunch is on own expense.
Food was ok, price is reasonable.

Their buffet area, so unique right. Its all placed in a sampan.

After lunch it started to drizzle again, so we went back to our resort.

GUESS WHAT! There was no electricity.
There was a power failure on the island.
No air con, no light, no teevee. terrible.
From what we were told, because 1 of their power generator failed and they are trying to get electricity from their government. (very slooooow.)

They are only left with 1 generator and its used to support the central area which is the cafe/reception area.
My friend, who was staying at the other resort told me that the more expensive hotel (Berjaya resort) also had a power failure.
Can you imagine if you pay $400- $500 and you have to live in darkness. How terrible is that for them.
We were in a way lucky because our resort is cheap, not so heart pain.
It is indeed a very unforgettable trip trip right.

We walked around, explore abit.
The sun came out, so we did abit of snorkelling and its time for dinner.

We had Red Wine. HAHA.
The wine/hard liqour/beer is dirt cheap in Tioman.

BBQ buffet dinner.
Saw the big fish in the plate?
We saw its buddies in the sea the next day we went snorkelling. Sooooo many of them.
Fish wasnt up to expectation, abit tough.
Squid was delicious though. Very well marinated and BBQ-ed.

No electricity, cant go back to the room. Because there is nothing to do.
We sat at the cafe area sipping red wine.
How cool is that? HAHA

End of Day 1.

We went snorkelling on the 2nd day.
We were lucky becuase the sky is clear.
The person told us that it has been raining for the past week.
If it rain, we will have to cancel our snorkelling trip. Then it will be double sadness.

Fishes and corals were colourful.
We saw shark! Baby shark. Swimming near the sea bed. Ah Ba freaked out. HAHA
Then we went to Marine Park next. Fishes were agressive. Seemed like humans are more afraid of them than they are afraid of us.

Back for lunch at around 1pm. The food was good.
Sun was super good.
We had quick lunch then went to tan for awhile. Sun was super strong.
It was only half an hour of exposure and we were goner. Too hot!

Different views of the outdoor cafe.

This is the tanning area.
The resort has this very nice tanning bay.

Looks so posh right. This is the nicest place in the resort.
Can tan, can also see sunset/sunrise and read a book, sipping cocktail.
This is life, man!

I took this Artsy Fartsy picture, not too bad right.

Ah Ba started building sandcastle.

Our Kingdom.
I had a part to share too.
I built the mountain on the left. The others are all built by Ah Ba.

Saw the "H" on the bottom left, its meant for the helicopter, not for handsome guys.
HAHAHAH *cold*

Saw the pink circle in the picture.
Thats the place we discovered.
When the tide is low, we can WALK over.

ALOT OF PRETTY FISHES! From far, the water is light blue/green, unlike the usual dark blue.
The water is absolutely clear and the sea bed is white.
WHITE SAND. CAN YOU IMAGINE?
Its so much better than those places they brought us to.

THe fishes were very colourful too. Lots of different kind.
I am bursting with excitment when i am typing this now, but I cant express my excited-ness with my limited vocab, I feel terrible.
ITS JUST VERY NICE LAH.

We saw sunset too.
Alas, clear sky.
I was so excited, I took alot of pictures with both my HP and Digi Cam.

I like this picture. The colour is so pretty.
Like its professionally taken.

After dinner, we watched movie under the stars.
Hollow Man II, pretty nice movie.

End of day 2. Oh ya, the electricity came back in the afternoon. Finally can have a good night rest. So tired.

We left on Day 3.
It rained again. Everyday rain, damn jialutt.

I took some random shots at the jetty.

Check this out. The clouds!
Are we at Cameron Highlands?
It must be because of the rain. So cloudy and cooling.
Not hot and sunny.

We bought this there. Personally, i think its nice!

Shots at the jetty! Look how clear the water is.
Can you see the fishes?? Can right.
But this is not the clear-est.
So can you imagine now, how clear the water is at the other side!

Bye Bye Tioman.

Cant wait for my next trip to BANGKOK!
Its with AH BA again, but this time is with da parents....
