Updates

Haven been blogging lately due to my laziness and was kind of busy.

Did lots of things within these 2 weeks.

I tried donating blood for the first time of my life.
The team was in NTU so i wanted to try it out. And of course, the email that they sent really moved me, so i decided to try.

I admit that i was scared, very scared actually that they are going to poke the big fat needle into my vein, but i believe that its nothing as compared to those who need blood for survival.
In the end, I didnt managed to donate because i do not have enough iron in my blood, so i failed the test.

Other random stuff.

These 2 days had been madness!!
My friends and I were shopping like crazy. Not me, my friends.
I merely accompanied them. WAHAHAHAHA
My poor feet, they are already protesting from all the walking over these 2 days.

Day1:
We went speed shopping.
We went Jurong Point-->City Hall---->Marina Sq--->Suntec City.
Within a mere 4 hours, we combed as many shops as possible. This is madness.
But we had a very sumptuous dinner over at Thai Express (Marina). Very rewarding
Delicious!

We tried their mini tom yam steamboat. Very nice.
The soup was not too overpowering, not too spicy nor sour. I WILL GO BACK FOR IT AGAIN.

We ordered Seafood Pineapple Rice too. I think this was delicious too. Not as sour as how i imagined it to be. I think it will be even better if they added more ingredients, i think they only had 2 prawns, 2 slices of fish and some squid. Quite pathetic.

The star of the day: Soft Shell Crab Glass Noodles. This is absolutely amazing. I like how they stir fry the glass noodles with lots of black pepper. It makes the whole dish tastier. I was surprised to finf chinese mushrooms (dong gu) inside too. This is a must try!!!!!!!

P/s: Limei, we want your Orange Card =)

Day2:

This is really terrible, we skipped a 3 hrs seminar to go shopping in town.
We have covered Raffles City and the entire Orchard Road. From Far East to Paragon. As usual, we had the touch and go mentality. We spent6 hours in town.
My legs were aching today, but it was FUN!

Mega cheap sales in town! Really mega!

Coffee Prince

I am so addicated to watching Coffee Prince online now!!!!

**terrible terrible terrible.**

The story is so nice. I am hooked onto it!

They are so sweet. I feel like falling in love all over again.
That is when love is the sweetest. During the "honeymoon" period. Don't you agree.

Its when you want to see each other every single sec, every single minute.

The feeling is just so different. Sweet Sweet Love.

owwww~

Please watch if you have the time. You wont regret.

**must watch must watch must watch must watch must watch**

You wont regret. Trust me!!

Here is the link.

Craving satisfied!

My craving for mushroom omelette in my previous 2 post was satisfied by Chef Lim.

His mushroom omelette was fantastic!

yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy~ Close to perfect.
A high score of 9.9999999. Cant give full marks ma, still gt room for improvement.

** This pic doesnt do justice to his eggs. They taste waaaaaaay better than it looks.

HSS Bash 2008

HSS had its first bash at Butter Factory on 4th Jan 2008.

The response was NOT overwhelming. HSS people are afterall not the wild and enthu kind.
I wonder if there will ever be a 2nd one.

Lots of pics taken, lots of funny moments. We seem to be having fun in our small little clique of friends.

The event took quite some time to warm up. Everything begin to fall in place after about 1.5 hours.
Dancing, boozing, camwhoring and screaming were all set to happen.

A new relationship was born after that night. So nice to see the both of them happily attached after the bash. 4th Jan 2008 hor. Sarah, dont worry. Pi gu and I will always remind you. HAHAHA

This was impromptu. We didnt arrange to be in 4 different poses.

Daniel, the vice chairman. It was his idea to have a bash for HSS. All thanks to him. He shall appear in more pictures later.

Thats us. I admit, we love to cam whore.

Ok, this is HSS ambassador pic of the year. Look at Sarah pls, I cant stop laughing.

I find Pat very attractive that day. She has got very nice features. A little dolling up will make you very pretty. Keep it up Pat!

See, ah Ho wants to take pics with me again.

They used to be best go-home-together buddies, but not anymore due to other personal commitments that Sarah has now. *hehe*

Thats Wing Man in grey. Super funny can. As "san bas" as us.

Neh, couple of the day. 4th Jan 2008

The whole bunch of us.

Apparently, we can see that Sam is quite high from these 2 photos. These will be good pics to blackmail him.

I dont know what to say.

The Superwomen. The one 2nd from the right is our Chair(wo)man-Delia. She is damn skinny. I dont even dare to put my hand round her waist just in case i break it. I think her waist is only 23 inches??!!

Lastly, to end off. The 3 drunkards. I believe they must be having a helluva great time.
Thats Daniel on the extreme right. he was hopping around during the 2nd half of the bash. After effects due to extreme intoxication. How i wished I had recorded that down. Wasted~

Craving

I am craving for mushroom omelette.

I really do.

Minoshi Japanese Restaurant

The other day i went for my poly gathering.
It has been some time since we last met.

Almost all of the guys went over to Aust to study, so its very hard to gather everyone except last week when they were back in S'pore for their summer holidays.

As usual, Daryl, the food guru choose the place.
He chose this Japanese Restaurant at UE Sq. Its called Minoshi.
The restaurant is located at the 4th level of UE Sq, the same level with all the kids gym and all.

The interior of the restaurant was very nice. It uses dim lighting to create a calm ambiance.
The food was average, not too bad. I dont mind going back once more.
We had the buffet which was $28++. Its not really expensive nor cheap, considering the variety of food they have.
And its ala carte buffet, so food is served hot, unlike the usual buffets that are laid out before hand.

Sashimi.
The salmon is good. You can see the streaks of fats, so it must be of some kind of quality.

We ate much more than this. Their tempura is very nice. I think i ate about 3 plates of tempura prawns. Yakitori was passable. Do try their hand roll if you are there, i think its way better than Sakae Sushi.

Unagi Sushi.
Didnt eat that though, but the feedback that I got was that its good.

Our next meet up will be during Chinese New Year.
Cant wait to "ban luck"

Flooded

I have so many things to blog about.
Christmas, New Year, meet ups and many many random stuff.

Random Stuff #1
We went Geylang for dim sum the other day.
The lady recommended us Shark Fin double boiled soup in Pumkin.
Sounds so interesting, so we decided to try.

The BIG Pumpkin which was used to contain the soup.

The Shark's Fin Soup. Quite alot of ingredients. They have mushroom, crab claw, shark's fin and some other unidentifiable object. ahaha!

The Shark's Fin. They are quite generous with it.

You guys should go try. Its $15 for a Pumpkin.
Its at 126 Sims Ave. (Geylang Lorong 17)
126 Dim Sum.

Random Entry #2

I had Donut Factory again today! *happiness*
There wasnt a Q. I was there at about 8 plus. I think they are closing, so not alot of donuts left. There were actually only 2 flavours. And we bought it!

I always see the boxes, not the paper bags. So its something new.

New Flavour. Its chocolate coated on the outside with lemon cream or something on the inside. Personally i think its still ok.

Double Chocolate. My Favourite. When we bought it, the donuts are still warm and the filling just ooze out when we bite into it. VERY NICE.

Lesson learnt: Heat up ur donuts before eating. It does make a difference!

Jacintha's Birthday.

The usual gang went Seah Street Deli @ Raffles Hotel for dinner.
Food, as usual was served in huge portion. Enough to kill a cow.

Fish & Chips

Seah Street Deli Burger

Monte Cristo

Dory Fish Fillet

Seriously, i think their standard dropped. It was much better in the past.
Its kind of disappointing to taste not-tasty food.
Definitely not value-for-money.

Out of the 4 we ordered, I think the dory fish fillet was the most decent.
Time to pull up your socks, Seah Street Deli!

Brewerkz

Ah ba, me and his friends went Brewerkz to chill out on X'mas Eve.
Their brew rocks. Its way better than Tiger Beer.
Mayb to the power of 100.
Do try their Golden Ale if you are there. Their best seller.

My X'mas Present to him. HAHA!

We went back to try their food on another occasion.
The serving is HUGE. Think Billy Bombers, along that line.
2 sets were enough to stuff our mouth and stomach until it feels like exploding.
So the best bet is to share the food with your friends.

Pepperoni Calzone- Pepperoni, Mushroom, Mozerella and tomato sauce.
This is a pizza. Something different, as in its folded. It felt as if we are eating chicken fold over, but seriously, the ingredients they stuff in it is GENEROUS.

Fish & Chips- White fish fillets coated with Brewerkz Beer Batter. Tasty!
I prefer this to the breaded kind. This kind of battered ones are usually softer and nicer.

Please go try. Its really delicious.
Abit pricey, but if you are sharing with your friends then it should be ok.

To end off, I shall post the last picture that I have taken in 2007.

Welcome, 2008. =)
