Geylang Dim Sum

Hello everyone, thank you for tuning in to Food Guide 101 Episode 2.

Today, i will bring everyone on a tour to Geylang.

Geylang Lorong 17-- 126 Dim Sum.

The Dim Sum there is very nice!
Fresh and pipping hot. They steam when you order it, unlike those that are always kept on top of the hot steamers.

Must try:

Prawn Dumplings (虾角王)

big pieces of prawns inside. yum yum.

Prawn chee cheong fun (猪肠粉-虾)

the skin is very soft and thin.
unlike the usual ones we eat, tough and thick skin.
the sauce they use is very nice too. complement the chee cheong fun very well.

lastly, my fav:

Scallop Siew Mai (带子烧卖)

one big piece of scallop. bite into it and the juice will ooze out. freshness for every biteful.
there is miminal amount of pork in this siew mai, instead they used prawns.

Rating: **** out of a full mark of 5.

Price abit steep though, nevertheless its worth trying.

The place is slightly difficult to go too.
Nearest MRT station: Al-ju-ni (pardon me for the spelling)

hectic life...

woot! hardly have any time to take a breather! started work right after exams.
Kept myself very packed for these couple of weeks. Hardly have time to do shopping or catch up with friends.

But the other day, I managed to squeeze out time for my uni ah siows. how can i not go out with this bunch of siow char bors.
They are just full of crap.. really to the maximium.

It so happened that i wasnt feeling well that day,i was having a very bad cramp in the stomach. Really felt like going home. But they shower me with so much care, so gan dong. so i mian qiang stayed back for awhile. ahahaha!
They were really high in ktv. I didnt know highness was "contagious". The next moment, i was standing on the ktv sofa instead of groaning in pain at 1 corner.

Dont believe, dont say i bluff you okay.

Went Vivo with dear the other day. For those who have not been there, but keen on going, i suggest you go to the information counter to take a copy of their map or something. Though that place is only 3 storeys, its definately wide. Sooo many shops and soooooooooo many people.

I went there twice in a week, there were so many people that you cannot turn ur body, u will just have to keep walking straight. (ok, exaggerating)!

Dear and i was tired, dizzy from seeing so many people walking around. We decided to have dinner at this Jap Charcoal Grill Restaurant.

The food was fantastic. The mushroom especially. Its still juciy after the grill. It taste fresh. Everything was nice lah!!
And guessed what, dear was curious about this particular dish called the Blowfish, so he ordered. Little did we expect that it was FUGU fish!!! We ate FUGU!
It looks like bar-guah (bbq pork), but soft on the inside, sweet on the outside. Must try!!

We overheard from one of the waiter that there will be fireworks later. It so happened that it was the offical opening that day. We were so lucky to get a window seat. Nice fireworks! Good food, nice view. What more to ask for?

We love Vivo that much that we decided to go back a few days later. The initial plan was to go Sentosa to tan. We wanted to try our luck with tai yang gong gong (grandpa Sun), to see if we will get to see him. But i think we were down on our luck, it was cloudy that day. So we ended up in Vivo again. (Vivo, our favourite shopping centre--ya, like real)

Went candy empire and i saw this.
