Campus Life

Hey hey. have not been updating my blog for the past week.
Kinda busy with school, yeah.. school. ahhaha

First and foremost, I got the tutorial class changed!!
The guy replied and told me that its done. So ya peeps, no school on fri!!

I am glad that my timetable is quite good. Quite free actually. Only monday is a heavy day which ends at 8.30pm, having 3 lectures that day.
I can go home like latest by 2.30pm for the rest of the week. So ya. quite slack right.

Have been figuring out whats the route for the internal shuttle bus. They have route A and B. But i think its a loop, so no matter what, you will reach the place, just that 1 will take a longer route the other will take a shorter one.

Went over the Mic's n Ting's hall last night. Quite cool to stay in hall, except that its very difficult to watch TV.
Have to go all the way down to the TV lounge and if you are lucky, the TV lounge will be empty, else if its pack you will have to find your own space.
I think they have about 5 or 6 such lounges in the whole hall.
Managed to catch Superstar last night, but i sat in the same position thru'out, cause there were other people around, so i dont really dare to move. hahah

Life in NTU is generally quite good, its just that we had done A LOT of walking.
For Example:

This afternoon, i accompanied Mic n ting to buy their TB from the NIE bookshop, cause we heard that TBs there are cheaper.
Mic bought TB for 4 mods, which cost her abt 180 bucks.
2 bloody big bags of TB. Its so damn heavy.
Imagine 3 TB for a mod. Now you get it??!!

Mic n I wanted to go back to hall to put her stuff, she doesnt want to bring all that home. And i wanted to get my TB too, which i left in her hall earlier on. Ting wants to go back straight.

So Ting took 199 from the bus stop and I told Mic that we should cross over to the opposite to take the shuttle bus back to hall.
So we happily crossed the road, put our heavy bags down and rested our butts comfortably on the seat.
We sat for about 5 mins, and I realised that there is no shuttle bus sign at the bus stop. The bus stop only acts as a shelter, there is no bus servicing this stop!!

Guess what mic said, "Impossible!! I think the shuttle bus sign drop off the pole and fell onto the grass." *flipz* hahah!!!!!!

So we reluctantly accepted the fact and walked back to the hall which is i think 3 bus stops away.
with our heavy bags mind you!!!

What a way to explore the campus!

Lesson learnt: Be familiar with the shuttle bus route. Never assume!!

I Cant Get That TIme Slot

i was bloody pissed off by the system today!!
What STARS- STUDENT AUTOMATED REEGISTERATION SYSTEM - my foot *pui*

Cant even get the class i want even though they have vacancies. There are 2 vacancies somemore! Somehow the system doesnt allow me to change my slot!
Why why why???!!!

My friend mamaged to change it, but i cant!
I have sent an email up already. hope they revert back soon..
I really want to change that tutorial time slot. I dont want to come back to school on fri for an hour just because of a tutorial........ duh...

School's Re-opening

25th July, the most dreaded day for this past month or so.
I am going back to school tmr.
Still thinking of what modules to take, its such a headache.

We are supposed to take 5 mods per sememster.
There are 3 pre assigned ones, we had to choose 2 others to fulfill the minimium requirement.
I choose Mind over Stress- which i pressume that it will be easy, cause it sounds easy! haha
Really wanted to do either Cyber Security (cause it reminds me of SS in poly) or other technology modules, but i cant!
It clashes with my timetable!!!!
The only one i can take is Information Visualization n Perception.
BUT... ....
The lecture is from 5 30pm to 8 30pm on a friday evening!!!! *sick right*

Mayb i will choose to Minor in Psychology or Communication Studies.
This is only a tentative idea, there will/might be changes.

Really hope Michelle can get the seat for Mind over Stress.

Magic Clean

Went for my Qualifying English Test yesterday.
The paper was........ crap!
We had to choose 1 out of 2 questions, and write an essay on it.

Question1: If you have a choice, who (celebratity, politician etc.) would you choose to be? State your reasons.
Question2: Write about 2 of your passion. And why are they your passion?

Obviously, i choose question 1, cause i have no passion. hahah.
The 1st person who came to my mind was Mr Lee Kuan Yew. So i just vomit out whatever i know about him onto my script.
Hope i dont fail......... *God Bless*

After that, Michelle, ting and I then kiasu-ly went to the library and print our long awaited timetable.
My schedule sucks!!! I have to go back to sch everyday, and its like for a tutorial or a lecture!
I will need to re-arrange my timetable. see what i can do. heez.

Since we are all in sch, so i suggested to them, why not we just clean the hall today, so they dont have to make another trip back to school.

Michelle was praying hard that they dont get the room that is facing the construction site.
They were lucky, their room wasnt.
But i dont see any difference, cause when they open the room door, a POOL of dust greeted us!
It was so bloody dusty. I think the layer of dust is about 1cm thick.

We rushed over to jurong point to get the necessay stuff and started cleaning.
I sweep the floor, Ting wipe the wardrobes, Michelle mop the floor.

Finally, we are done.
I think their room now is cleaner than my own room.

Our satisfied look!

So excited for them. It will be really fun to stay in hall.
So i got myself prepared too..
They got me a toothbrush. hahha.. so i can "visit" them occasionally.

We are just plain kiasu

Michelle and ting came over to my houe yesterday.
Ya.. they travelled all the way from Yishun n Serangoon to this far away, isolated, rural Jurong West Extension. haha.

Their reason for coming was because, we, as overaged students are very kiasu. We wanted to choose the same elective so that we can attend the same class, see each other at least once a week, do project together (if any).

We were happily going through the electives, in a dilemma, unsure of which elective to choose, until:
1) Michelle pointed out that our timetable might not allow us to choose the same elective cause it will clash with our core modules. All 3 of us hold onto different timetable.

2)They (business students) need not even need to choose electives for the 1st semester cause their timetable will all be filled with core modules, and I have to take the core electives (ie. Critical Writing Skills and Communication Studies) *sickening*

So all in all, they have make a wasted trip to my house? ahahahha

We tried to console ourselves by saying that we can choose the same CCA.
After 15 minutes of "searching", we gave up, cause we were all too lazy. *Another mission failed*

We went on to talk about their hostel, I think i am more excited than them.
I even volunteered to help them out with the cleaning. hehe.
They on the other hand draft out a list of things that they have to move over. Long long list.

Staying in hall will be fun. So no worries gals!
Afterall its only 2 months, after 2 months, you make the decision again.

Photo-taking Session @ Changi.15 July 05

Went to send Fiona off yesterday (15 July 2005).
No worries, she will be back around this time next year.
Was telling them, its only a year = 365 days = 1 Lunar New Year = 1 Depavali = 1 Vesak Day = 1 Labour Day = 1 Christmas.. blah blah blah.
It will pass by very fast, so no worries.

Had a hell of a great time yesterday at Changi posing for pictures.
How creative can we be? I wonder... ....

Fiona is Leaving for Australia Tomorrow!

Fiona.............

Quote:
" So much to say but yet so little words to use... huh? dont know what i saying la.. just so happy! HaHaHa!! Lalala... sing u something.. I'm so happy, I'm so glad that I have found you....!"
unquote.

Does it sounds familiar. hhaahha.. remember where you wrote this? heez

Anyway, we went Fiona's house last night for dinner. We were supposed to have dinner together, but somehow, 2 of them (dont wish to mention names) were late.

Fiona showed us her Aussie dollars. We were or rather Iwas fascinated. Its the plastic kind, like our new notes. haha

I will miss Fiona. really, i swear.
She is the one who always organise our meeting, who pull us together, who fill our quiet surroundings with her lame stuff.
I always take her for granted.
Until now, when she is leaving, i realise her "importance".

For you, Fiona:

Paranoid,Scared,Fear,Regret,Uneasy etc etc

Hmm.. how should i write this.
Frankly speaking, the title describes how i feel now.
After the camp, everybody except me is still so enthu.
Take a look at their MSN nick which writes "HSS Sobek rockz", "Hooray, the camp was fun" etc etc.
I cant help, but feel pathetic. Why dont I feel excited or happy at all??
The camp was ok, i dont think its FANTASTIC, but why are the others enjoying it so much more than i do?

(I really hope my camp people dont see this. )

I have to act enthu with my camp people, organise outing, eat dinner. *sick*
I think the only one i can chat with is Patricia, but still, i think they are childish, we have no common topic. I have to say lame things, which is very very tiring. You have to think and think and think of what to say next. I dont like it!!
I dont like this kind of feeling, get what i mean?

Have i made the wrong choice?
Was chatting with Michelle on MSN earlier on, she has exactly the same feelings that I have.
Whats wrong with us?
Michelle even asked me if she had "harmed" me by asking me to choose NTU.
Well Michelle, NO, you didnt, i did it on my own accord.
But well, guess this time i made the wrong choice.

Lets hope that i am wrong ok.
I m crossing my fingers. Hope there is no dai gou (gap) between my classmates and me.
I really hope i get good people in my class.
I hate selfish pigs!

I MISS MY POLY PEOPLE!!!! SEE THAT??
I MISS ALL OF YOU. I MISS ALL OF YOU!!

fuck, i feel like crying, and i am listening to tong hua by guag liang.
make things worst.

i am scared...

CAMP EXPERIENCE.

So bloody tired after the FOC.
My whole body is aching.
The camp was ok, wouldnt say tat its not fun, neither is it super fun.

I felt quite weird initially. As per michelle, ALL were from JC and i was the only one from poly out of the 16 people in my OG.
They were mostly from NYJC or SRJC, so they kinda have common topics so i was like quite left out. On top of that i think they are still kinda childish. We just think differently.
I was like OH MY GOD!!! pls help me!!!

By the way, my seniors say that i have the English Lit look.
Is that good or bad? haha..

Things got better at the end of the 1st day, we played alot of dirty games and we begin to talk to each other.
We cheered on each other, say lame jokes, intro each other. Tried to talk about anything under the sun except school. ahahah!

Well, let me show you guys how they look like. Too lazy to type.

This is Patricia. The moment i saw her, MICHELLE comes to my mind.
She just reminded me of year 1 michelle. Their actions are exactly the same.

This is Wen Ting. I think she is the super duper smart lass. Single pointer for 'O's, got into NJC. Doing Science. Wants to take double major.
Doing Psycology, wants to take econs as 2nd major. Crazy.. ahahha!

Shin Huei. I admire her determination. She is a malaysian. She travels from JB EVERYDAY to S'pore to study since pri school. Thats like since 7 yrs old!!! She needs to wake up at 4.30am everyday to prepare for school. Strong girl.

Thats about it. Didnt have the chance to take pics with others.
Will upload the pics as soon as i got them from my OGL.

Nothing better to do?

yeah. its me updating u guys again.
have been very very free these few days. so ya. juz bo liao.

Celebrated Kerwin's 21st birthday on Sat (2nd July). Though his actual birthday is on the 7th.
Everything doesnt seem very right on that day.

1) Claud, hua n me were very late. Cause we went to get his presents, had a hard time choosing.
Was supposed to meet at 6.30pm, but we arrived at 7.45pm. Feel so bad.
Its like his birthday and he still needs to wait for us for dinner.

2)Was in a very awkward situation. Guys were talking amongst themselves and the girls were doing the same thing.

3)Left early, at about 10pm cause kerwin has chalet after that, and several of us has program either after the dinner or tomorrow morning.

4)We DIDNT take any pictures yesterday..

Went to meet Ian, Gary and Caren after kerwin's celebration.
Quite boring initially, but atmosphere is better after 1am. Better music...

This tag has been with me for more than a year.

After work, went to meet Gary and Ian for dinner.
Gary finally found a job as a JOB CONSULTANT aka agent.

Accompanied him to Robinsons to look for leather shoes and pants for his new job.
GUYS LISTEN UP: If your are looking for cheap business pants, please go Robinsons. They are DIRT CHEAP! S$9.90/S$19.90. You say cheap or not???!!!

But I realise, buying Men's wear is more difficult than buying ladies' wear.
Coz all the shirts and pants look the same to me.
I cant really tell the difference between this striped shirt and the other striped shirt except for the colours. Still must compare the material, the sleeve, the pocket, the cutting of the shirt.
eeks!! headache.

Gary bought 4 pants for S$58. CHEAP RIGHT!!!!!!
